1. Clean Elections Qualifying Contributions - Already Done:
I’m happy to report that as of late May 2008 I collected my 220th Clean Elections Qualifying Contribution. I’ve collected another 30 more since then to make sure that I have a solid 220. To all of you who contributed $5.00 Clean Election Qualifying Contributions to my campaign - I send you my most sincere thanks.
2. Consider Making a Seed Money Contribution.
I should have updated this particular item before, since I’ve had a few offers of seed money donations lately. Unfortunately the cutoff for making seed money donations was August 21, 2008. Sorry - you’ll have to wait two years to do it again!
3. Agree to give me your personal endorsement.
I would be very grateful if you would authorize me to add your name to the list of people supporting my candidacy. Just send me an email and I’ll be glad to add you to the list of supporters on my website.
4. Generally Spread The Word About My Candidacy And Invite Friends And Family To Visit My Website.
5. Volunteer To Walk Your Neighborhood With Me.
Walking neighborhoods is the most difficult – and most necessary part of campaigning. I need to do it myself, not through volunteers, but at the same time, I would more than welcome you to join me when I walk through YOUR neighborhood. You could introduce me to the people you know and can help them help me understand the concerns faced by people in your particular area of the District.
6. Other Volunteer Opportunities: As the campaign unfolds there will be many opportunities to help with my campaign such as erecting and monitoring signs for damage or vandalism (and to help repair them when necessary), introducing me to potential supporters or inviting them to contact me, help making phone calls, help with writing letters to the editor or other articles endorsing my candidacy, secretarial work, keeping an eye out for misinformation in the press or from persons supporting my opponents, and whatever else you feel your unique talents could add to help me win this race.
